I have had my whole roof retiled but noticed that the joining strip shows at the back of the house and light comes through to the attic. It doesn't show at the front, and there is no light. The strip is between my tiles and next door. Should I see this strip, and should there be light shining through? I am worried about water ingress.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

If light can come through, then blown rain most likely could as well. c But why not contact the roofer and ask them the same question and find out their answer?? I'm assuming they would be liable...pinenot :)

Post a pic of the bonding gutter both outside and in.
Daylight seen through junctions, vents etc to a certain degree is quite normal.

It is possible to see daylight through a tiled roof and it will still be water tight.

However........
