Roof Window Flashing

Hello guys.

I am not sure where this should go so i have put it in the general area.

Basically, I purchased 4 Rooflite M4A Windows around 3 years ago with flashing kits and all the other gubbings.

Short end of the stick is I have took them out of the garage and it seems that the flashing kits supplied do not fit the windows.

Now the place I purchased them from has long closed shop so Now I am stuck with 900£ worth of windows which I cannot install on my loft unless I can find a rooflite kit to fit.

I have opened one of the boxes and in the box it talks about the kit model being Rooflite tfxxa.

I have googled the google out of this and I cant find any answers if the current kit would fit the windows ?
or does another Velnux kit fit!

Wouldn't the 'xx' part refer to the model window you have? Therefore, if you search for flashing kit TFM4A you come up with this kind of thing:

But I'm presuming that is what you already have so, if that isn't suitable, would any of these universal ones fit:

Forgive me if I'm showing you what you already have or know about, but if you do already have the right kits for the windows, why don't they fit?

I would have thought that posting in the appropriate section of the forum would have been advantageous considering how urgent this is. This is why cheap rooflights should be avoided.

The kits I have are actually for a smaller window.


I guess I can have a look at the universal ones, but whats actually supplied with the kit ?

Can this be moved to the right section please!..

Were your windows off the peg or specials then? It might help if you tell us the sizes.

AAM4A E500 is the exact model number on the window box.
The Size is 78x98cm.

They werent specials, I purchased them beacuse the work was going to start but it didnt due to other commitments.

I can understand the flashing kit comes with the other bits on the outside. but what actually fits on the rest of the naked wooden frame?

What I mean by the last post was..

out of the box the window has just come with whats shown in the picture and some fittings.

does the flashing kit come with the areas I have highlighted in red ?

Have you had a look at Rooflite Flashing videos on Youtube? There are lots on there and they'll show you exactly what goes where.
