Room thermostat wiring help

Aim replacing a Danfoss RT 230 room stat with a Salus RT 500 programmable digital one

The Salus requires 2 wires

The Danfoss was wired with 3 . These are
Terminal 4 (N) .... Blue
Terminal 1 (com) ....Red
Terminal 2 (on but also sates N) ...... Yellow

The Salus requires me to wire mains live to L and switched live to SL

I am a bit confused by the 3 wires. I assume red will go to L on the new box and yellow to SL, but then what about the blue wire?

Does this blue wire just get made safe and left?

Your correct , the blue gets isolated and made safe, the other two wires are as you said.
