Hi all.

Anyone know if I can use a standard internal light fitting in a covered porch? And if not, why not? Is it a safety thing or is my light just going to corrode?

TIA.

You really should use min. IP44 outside.

I got into a massive arguement with a retailer who sold a customer of mine a light fitting which was not suitable for outside. They told her that it was so waterproof, she could put it over her shower cubicle.....R Soles!!

Needless to say, I apologised to the customer and told her I could not put it up.

Next day, working on the same road. There's another spark fitting the same luminaire for her. Huh??
