I have a customer with a Sandyford Marshall oil range cooker. Both oil burners a Minor ones. Boiler burner fine but cooker burner creating soot. All working fine up until about a week ago when this occurred.
Have replaced the nozzle and checked the fuel pump pressure, but cant seem to get the co2 down, and ideas please

Have you checked that the baffle plates are fitted correctly??!!

If the soot is in the combustion chamber, make sure that none of the insulation has fallen across the flueways. Also check to see if there is a flap in the air intake that has stuck. This can be a problem on the Minor one burner, although the later ones do not have it.
