Hi I have a wooden side board and the door has come off because of the hinge. Trying to screw it back on the screw hole has become too big and I cannot use a longer screw because of the thickest the wood it is going into. Is there anything I can do?

if its an oak sideboard with steel screws it may have eaten the thread
do the threads look in good nick or virtually gone ??

Core and plug, if you have enough thickness to do it.

As above - if it is oak, consider using brass screws.
