I'm preparing some doors for painting and I've spent ages trying to sand them flat but there are still lots of brush marks from when they were previously painted.

I will be using sikkens rubol BL satura to paint them is this likely to self level over the previous brush marks? It does seem to act like an oil based paint and it will be applied with good brushes. I'm trying to get the balance of good prep vs time.

Thanks

It shouldn't be that difficult to sand out brush marks. Use a p90 aluminium oxide paper followed by a 180/240 silicon carbide to smooth it off. Satura levels well but brush marks are effectively a high spot so need sanding back. Check back for runs with satura.
