Hi, I'm building a 12x8 shed/summer house on a slope so its on 6 concrete pillars with concrete lintels across them. The shed floor will be 5x2's or 6x2's joists with 18mm ply on top and and then a laminate floor (which I had spare).

Do you think I need a damp proof membrane as its 6 inches off the ground at the lowest point about 3 ft at the highest. Or is it better to let it breath.

Was thinking maybe of kingspan between the floor joists too.

Also was going to wrap the shed in tyvek - is that necessary on the roof - which will be 4x2's with 12mm ply and felt on top 4 inch insulation below.

All windows and door will be single glaze and it will be heated with a wood burner fairly regularly.

Thanks.

I'm thinking torch on felt with an undercoat, yes? Just be careful with the flame applying it.

Fire extinguisher essential.

Not sure about the damp, sorry
