The shower I am interested in buying has the following spec:

# Thermostatic shower mixer 3/4 inch wall mounted
# GROHE TurboStat compact cartridge with wax thermoelement
# Integrated mixed water shut off
# GROHE SafeStop safety stop at 38degC
# Shower bottom outlet 1/2 Inch

I basically have two 15mm pipes sticking out of the wall fed from the cold water tank and hot water tank, so I assume this one is out as it says 3/4 inch which is 22mm or near enough?

Shall I try and swap the pipes for larger ( I would rather not) or shall I get another type of shower?

Any help appreciated! I need to make a decision!

you don't tell us what model grohe it is.
turbostat is just the type of stat they use.

if it's a bar mixer they useally do have 3/4" nuts to fix it to the supplies
as they come with 1/2" x 3/4" dogleg adaptors.

Ah yes bar mixer, It's Grohe g2000 thermostatic mixer shower. I stared a new thread as it was a different subject.

I don't have to have this however I just though tit would be a good one to get.

So with the dog leg adaptor do you think it will work?

I was going to try it as just a gravity system and stick a pump on it if it was naff/

you say you already have two 15mm sticking out the wall is it all ready tiled etc ?

No it's not tiled.
Just has the backer board around them and the base in so it is still accessible.

just tile it fit these then fit your bar mixer.

Thank you for the replies. I think the hot and cold pipes need to be 150mm apart. Does it matter which way around the hot and cold go to the mixer bar? The shower has not arrived so I can't read the instructions!

Thanks

I have the shower now (Grohe Grotherm 2000) but the 1/2" dog leg adapters add a substantial amount of room to the back of the shower and is not far off the back wall.

Is there a smaller alternative to use?
