Shower Head Leaking

Have a problem with the shower attachment on my bath.

Have attached a pic below.

The problem I have is water is spurting out of the fitting on the left hand side where the flexi pipe goes into the fitting. So its not the normal rubber seal between the fitting and the shower head (on the right)

I have tried splitting the fitting with 2 pairs of mole grips but all I am doing is making a mess of it!

Does this fitting come to bits? And can it be repaired?

No. The black 'O' ring is fitted into a recess, not a joint.

And can it be repaired?

Probably not. The leak is probably from where the inner hose fits to the seating piece within the nut.

New hose, methinks.

Oops no wonder it wouldnt come apart!

This is a bit of a problem then as the shower unit is one of the "microphone" type that retracts into the side of the bath which means its a bath out job!

Unless anyone has any bright ideas?
