Hi,

I have just replaced the 45 amp pull cord switch in the bathroom - the new switch felt flimsy when compared to the old one.

The old switch is by Legrand.

I tried several electrical suppliers in Liverpool - one said you've got no chance of finding that, and the other couldn't understand why I wanted 2 retaining screws.

Is it possible to buy this type of switch, if so, can anyone provide with a link or product id.

Thanks a lot,
Tony

Don't understand why image isn't displayed - right click and view image works ok.

I did follow the procedure - the images uploaded ok, but my albums are still empty. The links in the OP are to my photobucket account - If you right click and select view image, the images display correctly.

I am of the old school (RF look away now!) who feels that a two-screw terminal is better because it grips the conductor twice rather than once.

The old MK used to have two screws but not now. There are several 50A switches that only have one.

Click do one with two:

No need to feel lonely, you're not alone! The phrase 'common sense'comes to mind, but I guess two screws (and two tapped holes) costs more than one.

One thing I liked about the 'good old Wylex Standard' CUs was that they had two screws for the incomers, the L feeds to fuse/MCB holders, and in the neutral bar.

Kind Regards, John.
