Hello, I would really appreciate some advice. I have just bought a house and the first floor bathroom's shower and bath are fed by a Turner Showermate 1.4 bar twin pump. The hot water works fine - the pump starts and keeps a good steady pressure. The cold water does not: the pump starts and water runs for 5-10 seconds, then the pump stops and starts every 1-2 seconds while the water comes in little squirts. If I turn the water off the pump continues stopping and starting for a few minutes.
I've asked the previous owners but they say they hadn't used the bath or shower in that bathroom for months (they used another one on the second floor which works off a different pump) so weren't aware of the problem.
Any clues as to what I could do? Is it a simple(ish) thing or do I need to get a plumber in?
Your help would be much appreciated as it's my first home and I've never really had anything to do with pumps, but I'm also skint!

Sounds like it could be the flow/reid switch sticking.
IIRC, they are situated either end, on the outlet pipes, on the pump
