SKY Multiroom / Magic Eye Query

So, to make sure I've got this right. Looking at this picture:

I ask my Sky man to connect the LNB from the dish to the loft box and the loft box to the Sky box in one room. The signal from the Sky box returns (UHF signal on diagram) to the loft box from where it is distributed to the various TVs (yellow, bedrooms on diagram).

Is this right?

I can also then connect other inout signals (TV aerials, etc) to the box for similar distribution.

chilscout, don't put any LNB feed in to your loft box. Satellite LNB signals don't work the same way as aerial signals.

A simple way of wiring that allows magic eyes to work is this...

LNB feeds x2 direct to Sky box.

Roof aerial direct to Sky box

Sky box RF2 out goes up to loft box

Loft box feeds down to each TV

There are variations on this them, but this will work for you even with a basic "Sky Pass" (magic eye compatible) aerial distribution amp.
