Hi I wonder if anyone could offer any thoughts on a little issue i have with my UFH blending valve? See the picture showing a large amount of "slime" like substance escaping from the valve!

Realy aprreciate any thoughts on this messy issue.

Appears that the wax inside has leaked out - the wax expands/contracts as the temperature changes and closes/opens the valve to maintain a constant temperature.

A new head and probe is required.

Not the above. As there looks like a litre of mush on the floor!!!!
It looks more like the spindle inside the valve is leaking system water. I'd be getting valve changed and water treatment tested possibly flushed out

Great replies thanks. I thought the same about the wax and when i cleaned it up it definitely felt "waxy".

It was definitely leaking so also suspected the spindle was goosed. A double whammy though??

Anyway new valve in the post.

Thanks again

A lot of bacteria can build up in some UFH pipes, so as Shambo has stated; you may need it flushed out.

Cheers lads, ive fittted the new valve now and will keep a close eye on it. When i get a minute i might cut into the controller and try to determine if it was the wax escaping.
