I need to get a lead for a camera to tv phono plugs
Does anyone know the proper name for the small D shape plugs/sockets that fit sat navs, cameras and mobile phones, I may be wrong but ive only seen two types, one of which is a slimmer version of the other, i need the fatter one.
The plug i need is similar to the ones shown here next to the usb plug
Thanks

That's a mini-USB connector.

Your camera may or may not use a variant of it, and you will almost certainly not find one you can wire up for yourself. You also almost certainly can't just wire an RCA connector onto it.

Find a cable for your camera on ebay.

there is mirco USB and mini USB

Micro is the smaller of the two, and is noticeably smaller, your phone, if it's new is like micro as that's the EU standard for phone charging and satnav is likely Mini

It was an older phone and they were both mini size, I guess it may have been a cheap lead and it didnt fit in well.
I have noticed my new phones have the flatter plug I assume is the Micro size, thanks

Its for someone elses canon camera, i didnt intend making one, just a cheaper version of this one.

Just wernt sure if like you say there were different types of that plug or not, as my phone and sat nav charger plugs look simlar but dont interchange and work for some reason.

That would be because a lot of cameras do not use a standard connector. Find one made for the camera.

First ensure your camera can export the images in PAL ( TV format ). The normal USB connection with a camera is file format transfer and not live TV format.

Thanks bernard, He has used the supplied one before on his tv but has mislaid the lead so i said id look on ebay for one
Its a nice camera and looks to me like it has some high end features
