Smeg oven cutting out

Hi
I have a Smeg single multifunction oven when you switch on and choose a function the fan can be clearly heard running the moment you engage the thermostat,the fan cuts out and the oven does not heat up to temp the grill function works.The element has been checked and I am told its fine,the thermostat has also been changed any clues.

Possibly a break in the neutral circuit to the fan. You will need a multimeter to trace this
When the stat is in the off position, the fan is managing to achieve a full circuit, live back to neutral. However when the stat is turned on, the neutral circuit is being cut off to the fan. The fan should have its own neutral.


Most likely place to check.
loose connection on the terminal block
Area where the wire is tie wrapped tightly (You may not be able to physically see any break)
Area where the wire can be chafing across a sharp edge, although this would more likely cause it to have tripped the electrics.
