Ive had a quick look through the forum, I think I may have a problem with the soil pipe?

Basically in the morning after a shower there is an eggy smell coming from a wall near to the bathroom where I think there is an internal soil pipe.

Does this mean that there is a blockage in the drain causing the smell (ive lift ed the man hole cover but all seems ok)? Or there is a break in the soil pipe?

The smell only happens when the toilet, shower, taps havent been used for a while.

Any suggestions?

sounds like u may be getting induced syphonage removing a water seal in a trap. is the soil venting outside, ifso has it got a cage on to protect from birds nest,s.

Ok, had look at the top of the stack it sticks out the roof just above the gutter, access isnt easy so I cant get up and take a look as the ground floor extension is in the way. But looks clear and has a cover to stop birds etc.
Induced Siphonage, is this easy to fix, as it only seems to happen when the shower is used does this mean its a problem with the trap on the shower, or that that its a trap elsewhere thats dodgy? had a quick search on the web and there seems to be some sort of trap that will fix this?
