Looking to replace soffits and facia in PVC - too big a job for me - one of the potential suppliers says he cuts the soffits into 3 and installs them at 90 degrees to the house? I asked him why and he says he always does it that way.

Any ideas on why? - I'm a bit suspicious....

Thanks

he is probably referring to tongue and groove soffit which is a lot stronger when fitted this way than when fitted in a 5mtr floppy length and you don't have any joins in the soffit doing it this way or notice any variations in the brickwork
