I'm currently removing some patio doors to shorten the opening height to allow for double doors and a wall plate for a flat roof which will run across the sagging soldiers. I'm going to add a lintel as there's no external one at present (1930's semi). I just wanted to know if it's OK to use this catnic cn51c lintel I've found as I need to brick up both faces to lower the height to allow for some double doors as this will eventually be internal. Opening is 2100mm lintel will be 2400mm.
There is a wooden lintel on the inside but I was going to leave this in place as its doing its job supporting the inside with a row of headers on top.
