Spinning starter motor

Got motor back and all is well but the mechanic said it needs new glow plugs.lt was a bit of a bugger starting on these cold mornings but l put it down to s/motor not workin too well before it started "spinning".ls it an easy job putting new ones in? If so l will not have a go at it.Any ideas on best place for reasonably priced glow plugs? Thanks. Dont ask how much the bill from the garage was

Errrr how much did it cost, Roy :p
Glow plugs......well theoretically they just unscrew, but do use a full hexagon deep drive socket, and don't swing on them......if they snap off, it's chaos.
Obviously the heavy duty wire has to come off first.
Here's a tip......take the wire off, and put a multi meter against each plug in turn. You are looking for about one ohm resistance. If you find one that's different, that's the faulty plug.
Motor factors or Halfords will have the plugs you need - Bosch, Valeo, Ngk are all good makes.
John :)
