spray paint on the carpet

Hi,just spray my woodburner stove in my living room,i masked everything up round the stove layed sheets down on the floor,but the over spray traveled further than i thought,the carpet is biege colour and i have an area of about
1mtr x 3mtr of the over spray which has the carpet a shade darker,
can anybody tell me how if possible how i could remove this over spray.

You might be lucky in that the spray drift has almost dried before settling on just the top fibres, worth a try to get a flat bladed knife and scrape it across the pile like using an old fashioned razor. then vacuum.

Any overspray will be dry dust and can be vacuumed, assuming it was the correct type of paint.

Hi Foxhole the spray paint is Plasticote wood stove spray ,I tried vacing it off but no joy,this spray has to be cured with heat after spraying so I wonder if the spray does not dry that quick. Tommythefox.

Don't like the solvent in plasticote , slow to dry, you may have to resort to the razor option.
