Not sure whether this should be here or in Plastering.....
Anyway, new door frames in a room now ready for plastering. I'm going to stain the frames (and doors) down to a darker shade (can't remember which of the Ronseal shades I'm using but its the stuff you polish on). Am I better off doing this before the walls are plastered or after?- reason for question, I did a similar job some years ago and the plaster stains in the timber frame are still visible, I'm pretty sure the timber was raw when the plasterer was in but I can't actually remember.
