staircase

We have a kitten who tries to jump down between the bannister rails (pine and square cut). How can we make the stairs
safe - (boarding- boxing in stairs?) without ruining the look of the stairs?

Any advice appreciated.

tape cardboard up afoot or so , the kitten will be lose interest in a month or so and you can remove
