I'm about to fit a stone resin shower tray onto floor tiles. Is it crucial to lay a bedding of cement down for the tray to sit on? It say's if the floor is uneven then the tray will crack.
This is what it recommends, but I'm not keen to do it.
If I ensure the floor tiles are laid well with plenty of grout around the edges will this suffice?

Anyone got any ideas

Thanks

What if you get an uneven tile from one to another?

what happens if you dont do it and it does crack, not their fault is it?

recomendations are usualy a good idea

Agreed with Breezer's and it's not really difficult to sit it on cement for a piece of mind.

If for some reason you don't want to cement on to the tiles ( antiques ?) then cover with thin plastic ( cling film ) and cement on top of that. Then if you need to reinstate sometime it all comes off clean.

How about that ?
