There must be a simple answer to this one, but what is it? The cold water tap in the bath has seized up. i cant turn it on no matter how hard i try (and using a wrench for extra leaverage doesn't help either). We had this problem before but then we had a plumber in a few months ago who fitted a new washer and 'loosened' it so we could turn it on and off normally. but now its as bad as ever. i'm worried that if i try too hard i'll end up with the tap in my hands. what can i do?

strip it down and check the washer etc and give it a good clean.
