I ordered from a building merchant timber for my new en-suite stud wall. I ordered 2inx3in and was delivered with 38mmx63mm, still is CLS C16 timber though but would that be right for the job?
Another question, the other existing stud wall which I had to open, was empty between the 2 walls and I will have some sound insulation left, is it better to use sound insulation there or thermal as that wall is by the staircase not the bed room.
