Hi All
I hope someone can help in advance of me employing a 'Sparks'. I'm building a Granny Annexe & garage and wanted to put in a sub-board, (consumer unit), just for the new build. All I want to do now is bury the appropriate sized amoured cable into the extension. But what size should I use?

Annexe will have hall, bathroom and bed sitting room, total area 62sq.m. and it will also supply a new garage.

Thanks in advance.

What type of shower do you plan to put in the bathroom (if any)?

The shower will be a pumped shower, not electrically heated.

Thanks

what kind of distance is it?

for something like that i'd say you should put in at least 16mm prefferabblly XPLE insulated. I'd advise 3 core to keep earth fault loop impedance low.

you may not need that much capacity right now but if she ever wants to use any big electrical appliances and you put in an undersized cable you will really regret it.
