Hi there
I am looking to fit a new radiator in my hallway. There was a radiator there clearly before as the other side of the wall is a radiator and from the 2 pipes to that is a feed through the wall into the hallway. These 2 pipes have been capped and hidden until now.
My concern is.... there isn't a drainage attachment on any of my radiators to drain the system down. Im intending on fitting one to the new radiator, but in the meantime.. Does anyone have any suggestions how to go about draining the system to fit the new radiator. The pipes seem pretty close to the floor so a bucket or bowl isn't an option. I did wonder if sliding some hose pipe over the pipe and take it outside would work. The pipes are only a matter of feet from the front door.
There doesn't seem to be any other means of isolating the pipes to make draining any easier..
The new radiator will be the lowest and furthest away from the boiler so would I be right to fit a drain valve onto this radiator incase it is needed in the future?
Many Thanks in advance
Dougie
