Hi,
I've had an R8 system for a number of years and have decided to replace the outside bell box due to a few false alarms in cold weather (suspect the micro switch). I also replaced the number pad on the remote keypad which was quite easy to do and is a great improvement on the old worn out one.
I just wanted to ask for some advice on the bell box wiring. Images uploaded of old and new.
The old/current box has
1. yellow to Siren Trigger
2. green to Strobe Trigger
3. blue to AT Return
4. black to -ve hold off
5. red to +ve hold off
The new box (Texecom Odyssey 2) has
A 12v permanent +ve supply
B (Bell) -ve applied output to activate siren
C (tamp) -ve removed on tamper input
D (0v) Permanent -ve supply
S (STRB) -ve applied output to activate strobe
I'm thinking of putting
1 to B
2 to S
3 to C but not sure what AT return is?
4 to D
5 to A
Can anyone offer any advice on this please - does what I'm thinking look correct?
It looks like there are other wires coming from the panel (orange, brown & white). What should I do with these?
