Recently i have been setting the pressure @ 1.4 bar on my boiler when it is running. As soon as it turns off (water/heating) it drops to 0.8/0.9 bar. When it starts up again i have to repressurise it to 1.4 bar again. Any ideas.

Tried that Kevplumb and seems to be ok. If it does it again could this mean a leak somewhere in system

What happens when you do not top it up and you leave the heating on for an hour?

If i don't top it up it just rises from from say 0.9 to 1.0 and stays there. Some one has suggested it could take up to 2 x weeks for the system to stabilize if you keep topping up and bleeding the system.
