anyone got a rough idea of the thickness of turf before its laid, Im just preparing my back garden for turfing, and want to get the height right for the retainer
Its a very slight slope, with a gravel path along the end, the retainer is to stop the lawn migrating into the gravel, its stepping down onto it.
The main area is prepared, I have a 4" retainer, and want the turf to come up to this height, Im buying loam/topsoil to build the existing level up to the required height, and need to work out how much to buy.
