tiling onto?

i have put a hidden frame toilet in corner of room, could i enclose it with chipboard then tile on it?

its not load bearing, but i feel it could break where no support, especially with kids, cant get any 12mm ply but have 9mm, maybe this would be a bit stronger?

i did read it, i thought plaster board would not have the strength, thats all
 
In that case use Aquapanel or Hardiebacker board. I challenge you (or your kids) to break that.
 
looks good, and you say it is strong.could this be used on wooden floors too instead of ply?
