Christmas is coming and I could do with some tools.

I am planning on building a treehouse in the New Year (subject to planning consent, etc).

What would be the a fairly standard list of tools for a project of this nature.

I have a drill (Ryobi One+ 18v) and a jigsaw.

Presume I would also want:
- Circular saw - Ryobi R18CS?
- Workbench / Sawhorse
- Combination square
- Spirit Level (800mm)
- Anything else?

Many thanks

Thanks. What sort of PPE? Safety glasses, & gloves.

Which would be better? Workbench or Sawhorse?

Look at Triton Superjaws. There's 3 or 4 different models/sizes.

It's basically a workbench, sawhorse and vice all in one.

Gaz :)

Thanks all. So this is where I am on Project Treehouse tools:

Have:
- Tree (!)
- Drill (Ryobi One+ 18v)
- Jigsaw
- Hammer
- Pencil, Tape Measure
- Ear defenders, safety glasses, gloves

Need:
- Circular saw - Ryobi R18CS
- Workbench / Sawhorse - Triton Superjaws
- Ladder
- Combination square
- Spirit Level (800mm)

I would be putting a sliding mitre saw at the top of the list or if your comfortable using one then invest in a decent table saw, a circular saw if your cutting a fair bit of sheet material.

If you go for a table saw then no need for the mitre saw, depending on how big the table saw is you might not even need a circular saw.

Unless, of course, you wanted to crosscut anything over say 6ft (like a skirting board or a sheet of plywood) in which case you'd look pretty foolish with a table saw and no mitre saw or portable rip saw....... Surprised you didn't add a wide belt sander or a planer/thicknesser to the list

Decent size table saw and a crosscut sled, nothing foolish about it.

So, I get 3 x 2 CLS delivered in 5.4 metre (just under 18ft) lengths and I want to cross cut that but only have a table saw and a sled, no mitre saw or rip saw. How much space will that take? Joinery timber comes in joinery sizes - not furniture sizes......

I'm assuming the OP wants to get into some home projects so that would be a valuable tool, not get into building barns.
