unable to log on

my laptops c drive was showing almost full,the pc kept giving me the message about cleaning up files etc. The drive was nowhere near full but i decided to clean out some stuff i dont use to free up some space anyway and try to get to the bottom of why it was showing full
I used the usual freeware such as ccleaner etc and deleted some unused programmes,i didnt delete any files i wasnt sure about.
Now When i try to log onto my girlfriends account at start up it goes to log in but then says logging out and returns to the user account page?
my account logs on fine and i can also get into my girlfriends account in safe mode,ive checked all the basic settings in user accounts but cant find anything obvious
any ideas whats happened please?
pc is running windows vista

You should be able to access her files from c:\users\[username].

I would just create a new account and copy the files over from the old to new profile.

If you want to get to the bootom of what is filling up your harddrive then download FilePro. It will tell you what files are taking up the most space.

i got fed up of trying to sort it so did a factory restore earlier, thanks anyway
