Uneven slab.. Laying first course of bricks

Hey all

About to start building a lean to carport over my drive but want to put down 2 courses of bricks to put the upright panels on (so the timber isn't sitting on the drive).

However.. the slab thats on my drive runs away quite a bit. I've got around 4" to make up over a 6m run.

Whats the best way to get the brick level?

bed up the height with mortar and non compressible material like a large sliver of brick or foundation block if thats what youre using. tiles, sltes etc..

4" is too much to make up in two bed joints. Use blocks and cut them to level.
