No....I think there is a difference between hurting someone's feelings and being insulting and offensive.
Pred just because they do that does it make it right.
We can all do and say anything we please it doesn't make it right.

But when others (not of this country) do what they do in this country and are allowed to do what they do, but we are not allowed the same freedom of expression, something's wrong. Susie.
This is the point many of us are trying to make.

Yes I do understand and on that point JJ I do agree fully .... but as I understood it I don't think the original post quite expressed the same sentiment.

But you still represent a sizeable chunk of the electorate so they'll have to pretend to like you. ;) ;) ;)

You'd better hope you die before you get old then.

    Fair comment.

Aha! I know who you are now. You're that woman who wanted to put the Welsh into Room 101. "Anne Robinson, you are the wickest leek. Goodbye!"

    Fair enough.

Actually, I didn't like it much the way it was when I was born - but it's improved with age. :) :) :)

The best of British luck mate.

If you ever find out, let me know.

    Ditto! :) :) :)

OK! I won't try to tell you how politics works if you don't try to tell me how the Large Hadron Collider works. Deal? :) :) :)

Redoubled in No trumps!

Oddly enough, and despite anything you might have inferred from other posts, I'm with you on this one. You can't just rewrite many thousands of years of evolution. So that's two parents, one of each sex, and you might also add that they should be lovers. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Agreed!

So no Olympic flags this year then? :( :( :(

It probably will.

Your great, great, great grandfather and his friends should have been tried for war crimes and, if found guilty, summarily dispatched with a bolt through the brain stem - which is a lot nicer than they deserved.

I could guess but I'm sure you'll tell me anyway.

Sorry, I've never voted for the BNP and I'm not about to start now. :( :( :(

I did get finger cramp once. Don't ask, you really don't want to know.

Well let's face it. not much is made in Britain these days :( :( :( - but heaven help us if you're the best we can manage!

Space cat hummmmm, with a name like that are you from another galaxy? are you here illeagally?
However I've a confesion to make, in the first paragraph it says i am a religious freak, or words to that effect, i really should have paid more attention to the small print, because "I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT" and do not believe in god or faries, (the little ones with wings on their back)

Well Space Cat, I thought exactly the same, but at least you took the time to read all of it and give an opinion on all the aspects in a light hearted way, which this thread desperately needed and which served to prove that there are aspects of this that people identify with, although it was probably over aggressively worded.
But there again if as many think, that it was EDL or BNP propoganda, then perhaps it's their style.

I cannot believe that anyone raeding the original passage actually agrees with all of it, more likely just identifies with some of the issues it raised.

However, for introducing the light hearted approach I thank you !! ;) ;) :D :D

Been overdosing on all the tabloids again have we?....;)

It's a shame that some are still sucked in by sensational headlines isn't it...

All the ones that claim 'discrimination' is a one way thing...

You know - the type of story that is a large percentage of the ragtop's output that keep the already prejudiced happy in knowing they are 'right all along'... ;)

JJ is bang on. No need to read any headlines to see that.
