Hello, I hope I am in the right section. I thought I would create some storage space in the attic, so I started to level out the insulation. I found these in the middle of a section of insulation:

put something in to show the scale.

And one in close-up, next to a 50p piece.

I may be quite wrong here, but they look more like droppings!

Thanks for the responses, I'll take some close ups JohnD. JBR, I don't think they're droppings, they're very light weight due to being hollow, looks like something has crawled out of each one.

Interestinger and interestinger. Have you seen anything flying around up there or, worse, crawling around?

JBR, nothing flying around. I'll get some pics up , I am desperate to find out what created those. Just hope it isn't anything sinister.

Have you seen the original Alien film? they look like the eggs:notworthy:

Must be small aliens, not bat poo and thanks for the sand bee suggestion. I will post pics which will give an idea of the size of these "alien" pods.

thanks again

The waiting is over, hope the pics do not disappoint. Thanks for looking.

they do look like droppings to me, I've seen similar in garden pots, I assumed they were squirrels.

if you cut them open, are they solid, hollow or containing dead larvae?
