Using Methylene Chloride to strip paint.

damn, i go the wrong stufff. :(

I must be able to thicken this stuff up somehow?

Anyone know a way?

If you get it gelled up coat the frame then strike it with a match.
That should remove the paint and stress relieve the frame in one go.
Should leave you with a safer bike. :LOL:
 
It doesn't burn willingly. We all used it for the past four decades and are still alive to tell the tale.
 
I remember as a kid, sodding about in my Granddad's shed and getting paint all over my hands, so I washed it off with Nitromors. Stung a bit at the time but no lasting Moo mooooooooooooo moooooooooooooo :LOL:
 
Bikey, many years ago we used to us a silica additive to polyester resin to thicken it, it was very light and would blow all over the place but it was perfect because it was inert.... Perhaps if you try a GRP supplier such as Glasplies... Think its trade name was Aerosil..
