Vauxhall Corsa centre air vent

Hello,

I have a five year old Vauxhall Corsa.
For most of that time I have had a Phone holder clipped to the centre vent (like you do).

The flap holding the clips of the phone holder has come away from the vent and the centre spine holding the other vent flaps has falling inside.

I can see it but cannot reach it.

I need to take the complete vent out if I can, retrieve the small centre spine, reattach to the flaps and replace the vent.

Can anyone advise me please?

How about some extra-long long-nose pliers?

Mind you the part will probably be cheaper than the pliers I would have thought.

Hello mfarrow, Thank you for the link, and yes it is item number 1.

Would you have any idea how I can get that unit from the car?
Even if I can retrieve the spine, I think it will be a devil to get the the pieces together again in situe

No idea, sorry.

I suppose if you took the clock out and got to the point of removing the big trim piece at the top of the picture (you need to drag the image down) you'll get to the top of the vents. Whether that's all necessary or not though I don't know!

I would put masking tape on the surrounding plastic before putting a screwdriver near the dash.
