I've got a couple of doors where holes have been drilled and vents fitted. Because I've changed my fire I don't need this ventilation any more. What can I use to fill the holes? (I'd rather not have to get new doors!)
thanks.

When your fire was changed I am presuming it was changed to one that says no additional ventilation is required,i.e. under 7kw input of gas?

If this is the case then you need to know wether your gas installer blocked off the ventilators before doing a spillage test,if he didn't then you need a retest before blocking off any vents as the chimney may need the air to ensure safe evacuation of combustion products regardless of what it says in the manual about not needing a vent.

indeed, blocking off the vents without knowing if you can do so, is a lot more likely to kill you than a gasleak
