I want to alter the edge of a slate roof here in Scotland. The traditional way is to nail a length of timber to the barge board so the piece is over the edge of the slates. This stops the wind lifting the verge slates.
I know this is a different system to most of England.
I'd like to use a length, or lengths of plastic angle, maybe about 100 mm by 100 mm angle but so far I've not found a supplier. Plastic should last a lot longer than painted timber.
Any idea?

we sell a rigid angle 100 x 80 that some people use for this, its about £15 for 5m in white, its pretty strong. or there are continuous verges for slate, that require a bit of stripping i think theyre around £25 for 5m in black
