Viesmann Vitodens 100 Problem

Hi,

I have a problem with our boiler whereby the heating is off at the control, but when attempting to run hot water we only get cold water and although i can see the temperature rapidly rising on the boiler display itself, we get no hot water yet the radiators are red hot!

Any ideas?

We have BG coming out Saturday to look at it but like to have an idea of what could potentially be the problem before they diagnose it!

Is it a combi boiler? If so the flow sensor or diverter valve are obvious culprits.

When u open the tap does a tap appear on the screen?

How old is the boiler? How old is the system? Was it flushed properly before this boiler went in

If its the earlier 100 then the diverter valve sticking was a known problem.

I expect BG will identify it but may keep you waiting for spares.
