Can someone tell me if I am doing something wrong. My vokera boiler lost pressure so i managed to top up the system to 1.5, but I can't get the boiler to light

I have switched the boiler off at the wall left it for a long time (even over night)
set the mode selector switch to constant
the thermostat dial to max
then i put the power back on at the wall, set the timmer controls to on for water and central heating
then i put the power switch on but nothing happens

please help can't get a plumbing out until Monday at the ealiest

Bloody hell it's Saturday already, I would think that a company who you have obviously no loyalty to is doing very well to get to you as soon as that! if you can't survive without Hot Water untill then ?

possibly overheated, overheat stat is located on the right side behind the black control panel. you will need to take the white outer case off and push the button to reset it.

Thats very valuable advice Nickso !

Now he is going to have hot water all Sunday and save a £70 call-out !

Should be worth at least a £10 donation to your favourite charity!

I have the same problem. this is what the engineer said he did last time but I can't find the reset button! can any one help?

And dont forget the £10 donation to charity!

Even if it doesn't work you can call DP from this forum. He specialises in old boilers and is based near Glasgow but does not mind travelling a bit.

But if its overheated then there is a reason and usually sludge or a failing pump and the long shaft Wilo derivitives are no longer available ( but a trade tip is that its often only the 2.6 uF capacitor that has failed! )
