wall strap length

HI,

Been searching for the minimum length a wall strap can be for securing a wall plate any ideas?

And am I right in saying these should be 2m spacing max.

Ok found it in the regs when it finally downloaded - slow ISP!

not more than 2m intervals between them and at least 1m in length straps to sonform to BSen - 845 - 1 (8kn strength etc).
