Is it possible to use waterproof bathroom paint around the bath when there is an over bath shower fitted or should tiles still be fitted?

just my 2p worth

dont recal ever seeing a shower that is not tiled or "plasticated*"
paint peels, you may want to read this but i am not a painter or tiler

*"plasticated" a word i invented, when you see sheets of some type of plastic stuck to a large surface i.e wall or floor

I see what you mean, oh well it was just a thought lol would have been great if it was viable.
Thanks for your help - hope all is well with you.

Cheers

i had my bathroom ceiling and walls painted with vinyl silk emulsion for years before i had the walls tiled and never had a problem and have a shower unit in it as well . i have a 4 inch extracter fan fitted, although the size is 8ftx8ft and has plenty of ventilation

Thanks for that but I don't have a ventilator so I have now got the tiles.

Thanks again though :D
