Hi,
I bought some engineered wood which happens to have an HDF core (as opposed to a plywood core in the more expensive planks).
I was wondering if its possible to paint the underside edges of the plank with oil or varnish to make the HDF edge more waterproof (in case of a liquid spill leaking between the planks, and soaking into the HDF core causing it to expand)?
Has anyone done such a thing? Is it really necesarry? Any other ideas?
regards
