The Africans also believe that to have as many children as possible is a sign of 'wealth'.

Is that ALL Africans or some in particular. If so which ones?

One of the truck drivers at Asda Portbury about ten years ago was bragging about having twelve children with different women, when I asked who's paying for them his reply was; I chuck them a few quid now and then! Then I asked why he wanted so many; so I can have them around me in old age!! I can't remember his name at presented but it'll come to me.
