Hi there,
I live in a top floor flat with a heating system I'm not familiar with.
For a couple of weeks now my radiators have needed bleading every other day, this came about all of a sudden.
It is set with a direct cylinder feeding hot water and heating to four radiators.
I believe the pump mat be knackered, can anyone confirm this.
I am now loosing heat to hot water also.
If I am correct the pump being damaged (sounds like its whirring but elimination suggests to me a faulty pump) will cause the air to be sucked in causing heating problems in the coil in the cylinder, thus causing loss of heat in hot water.
Can anyone confirm this or suggest an alternative.
also I know one rad is gunked up slightly in the middle bottom as a cold patch there.
I am a qualified plumber though I've never had to deal with a pump before.
Cheers
