What combi boiler to replace an Ideal Isar HE30?

Hello all

My grandmother’s house has an Ideal Isar HE30 combi which was fitted under the Warm Front scheme about six years ago.

This morning it had dripped water all over the kitchen floor. It seems a valve that controls the hot water had failed and has now been replaced by an RGI. I don’t know the full details as I live about 200 miles south and can only go by what I’m told.

Last year the PCB failed and was replaced.

I understand the reputation of these boilers is rock-bottom and my family are considering having it replaced.

What would be a good, reliable boiler to replace it with?

Does anyone think Intergas combi boilers are reliable?

I was looking at the Combi Compact HRE range.

I forgot to say in my first post, that the house is a 3 bed semi with a single bathroom and is an ex-council house built in the late 50's to early 60's.

The Intergas boilers are a superb range of boilers but also make sure that your installer knows them and how to fit them...They ain't for knuckle draggers
