:confused: Hi

I've got remove a 150mm strip downwards for 1 metre, so that a new window can be installed.

Regular brick/block cavity.

I've got a Makita 115mm angle grinder.

Do you think this will work;

Use the angle grinder to give me a straight line but only manage to cut in about 50mm then
remove back of bricks/reminder with bolster.

Then go in doors and do the same on the blocks.

Or is there a better way.

If you suggest hiring - can you give me the best size, taking into account it is not a huge amount to do.

This is the first time I've used an angle grinder so I'm surmising that my
thoughts above will work!!

Many thanks.

Stephen

definately do yourself a favour and hire a stihl saw. a standard 300mm one will cut 95 percent through a 4 inch wall.

You can also use it to tooth out some bricks to reinstate the bond

probably 25 quid or so?
